JA DESIGNS is a dynamic architecture and design practice, originally established in London – England, in 1987. For Jacques Aboukhaled, its founder and Principal Architect, it was the culmination of a natural progression through the realm of creative design.
JA Designs moved its principal offices to Beirut – Lebanon in 1994, where it fast became one of the country’s premier design houses, with many projects already completed, and more underway.
Jacques Aboukhaled - Architected DESA - obtained his professional qualifications in 1980, when he graduated from the Ecole Spéciale d'Architecture in Paris - France. Jacques worked on various projects, in Europe and the Middle East before finally moving his London practice to Beirut in 1994.
Though modern in his concepts, Jacques espouses the traditional view of the Architect as Master of the project. No matter how large or small, each project receives the same diligence, the same attention to detail and the same overall consistency that Jacques has become famous for.
His portfolio counts numerous projects, spanning over more than 10 countries, Including the prestigious multi-million renovation and extension project of the historical Sursock Museum in Beirut, in co-operation with the renown French architect, Jean-Michel Wilmotte.
